F Visas – For Students
F-1 statusStudents enrolled in an academic institution. F-1 status allows a student to temporarily enter the U.S. for the sole purpose of pursuing a academic study on a full-time basis at an established academic high school, university, college, seminary, language school, or conservatory. The F-1 visa is valid for only the amount of time necessary to complete the course of study and any relevant practical training as determined by the institution. Students with this status may engage in a part-time job on campus or off campus (with authorization).
